Battle Fury

Battle Fury is a coliseum design I created for my final year 3D project. I drew inspiration for this game predominantly from the Roman era. Coliseums from places such as Italy and Africa, specifically El Djem, were valuable inspirations.

Although I wanted Battle Fury to be concentrated within a somewhat traditional Roman coliseum, I also wanted the design to be versatile. That being said, I fashioned the coliseum in a way that made it appear unfinished, semi-untraditional, and non-geographically specific. Doing these things granted the designer, any possible team members, and the eventual player the freedom to imagine themselves battling within a coliseum in any city, during any time period they so chose.

The game design is quite simple, a player/players match up against one another, either online  or over LAN. Players choose between a range of weapons. Players then battle one another within the coliseum. Game play is not limited to the coliseum floor; players have to capability to climb ladders and utilize other objects within the game. The player also has the ability to scale to various parts on the game's map to obtain advantage points. The player to first kills their opponent wins the game.

Battle Fury can be played on either console or PC, as the mechanics needed were first person based. The expected age rating for this game is  18+, this is due to an excess amounts of blood and gore, and that the game’s basis is a battle where one player kills the other.

Programs: Unreal Engine 4, Photoshop, Crazy Bump, Maya 2015
