Red Vs. Blue
(First Level Ever Made)

This is the first level designed by me during my first year at university. Using all the assets in UDK engine, we were instructed to design a multiplayer level of our choosing.

The basic form I wanted was a multiplayer map containing an upper and lower section allowing the player variety within the level. As previously stated, all assets used in this design were taken from the UDK engine, as being first year newbies at the time, we did not possess the knowledge or direction to create our own assets.

Due to the modest size of the map, a difficulty I ran into was making sure that when the player respawned they were not immediately killed by the opposing side. To solve this problem I decided to add a bridge dividing the two sides, this made it so that the player/s could not  be spawn-killed from the comfort of their faction side.

For extra credit I added a breakable wall, and created my own dust particle system to accent the fire within the level.
